Elected in 2021 Bryan Lodge candidate for Sheffield Local Election Birley

Bryan Lodge

I was born and raised in Hackenthorpe and have lived in Frecheville since 1989. Married for twenty seven years and with two adult sons, I’ve always taken an active role in local community events whether through Schools, Church, Scouts or with family and friends in supporting events, and now as a local councillor.

Both myself and my sons attended St John Fisher Primary school, and I later served as a governor at the school. I’m now a governor at Birley Spa Community Primary School. For many years I was involved in fundraising activities for our church and helped coordinate the summer fairs and Christmas Bazaar events, along with my wife.

I spent twenty years managing McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd across South Yorkshire and a five year spell in the regional Human Resources department. Now self-employed, I split my time between council duties and my sandwich shop on Division Street.

My own involvement in community activities makes me appreciate the commitment shown by volunteers who do so much across our area. I’ve always offered support to groups and organisations across the Birley ward. I’m committed to ensure we have a strong voice for our area and working with my fellow ward councillors and Clive Betts MP, I will make representations on behalf of residents.
